The Scomadi Story

In 2005 Paul Melici of PM Tuning Racing Products and Frank Sanderson of Scooter Innovation joined forces to put their combined scooter industry knowledge of over 60 years into a partnership and launch Scomadi Ltd.

The project originated with a number of modern automatic engined hybrid conversions by Scooter Innovation which were produced as Series 4 and Series 5 derivatives. These conversions were the predecessors to several prototype concept scooters with the intention to mass manufacture "A Modern Classic".

PM Tuning and Scooter Innovation worked together to move the project forward and in 2009 they released 10 limited edition hand-built carbon fibre Scomadi Turismo Leggera 250 scooters which immediately sold out prior to completion. Interest in and demand for the product resulted in a further 20 hand-built 300cc scooters which were custom painted to customer specification being produced. As with the 250cc model these scooters sold out instantly.

Having successfully raised public awareness of the Scomadi brand and product, contracts were soon established with a high-quality Far East manufacturer alongside an acclaimed European distributor to introduce an affordable scooter to the wider market and scooterist.  The culmination of 10 years of intense research and development saw The Scomadi Team successfully launch the TL50 and TL125 models at the annual EICMA motorcycle show in Milan in 2013.

November 2014 saw the much anticipated first delivery of TL50 production scooters arrive at Scomadi HQ for distribution to the newly appointed dealer network. The TL125 production scooters followed in June 2015 with the first delivery pre-sold before it reached the UK.

2016 saw the arrival of the TL200 with the first 100 being transformed into FP200 Limited Edition scooters which were all sold prior to their arrival in the UK.

Scomadi has been welcomed by scootering enthusiasts worldwide. A rapidly expanding dealership network in the UK, Europe, Oceania, South America and Asia has seen Scomadi take its place amongst the iconic predecessors who have inspired its creation.
