Frank Sanderson
Frank Sanderson is a master of alternative engine installation within scooters and motorcycles. His expertise extends to over 30 years of experience in the fabrication of chassis, and development of high technology braking and suspension systems.
Growing up in Preston, Lancashire, UK, Frank began his career as an apprentice welder. Progressing to employment with BAE Systems, Frank served 17 years producing aircraft components, crafting carbon fibre layup and jig manufacture.
In 2004 he combined his professional skills with his enthusiasm for Classic Scooters to establish Scooter Innovation Ltd - specialising in the restoration, fabrication and re-engineering of Lambrettas to accept alternative engines and running gear. Braking and suspension systems were also reviewed and developed. In addition, custom works include one-off frames, chassis componentry jigs and bodywork moulds. It was here the Series 5 and 6 Scooter Innovation models were created, the model that preceded the Scomadi Scooter.
In his limited spare time, Frank enjoys sailing, reading, and spending as much time as possible in the Lake District where he can relax with his wife Kaye.
